Why is Social Media so important to business?

Own a business?

You need to use Social Media.

Notice I said “NEED”. In today’s day and age if you aren’t on social media with your business you’re greatly short changing your business in a major way.

Are you one of those people that cringe at the idea of getting on Facebook? LinkedIn? Alignable? Twitter? Threads? Instagram?

Need some reasons? Social media can help you:

  • Increase your brand awareness and reach new and potential customers. Social media platforms have billions of active users who can discover and follow brands that interest them. According to one source, 55% of consumers learn about new brands on social media.
  • Humanize your brand and establish trust and loyalty with your customers. Social media allows you to show your personality, values, and stories, and to interact with your customers in meaningful ways. According to the great Google in the sky, 68% of consumers agree that social media enables them to interact with brands and companies. People like doing business with companies that they can relate to.
  • Create and distribute engaging content that showcases your products or services, educates your audience, or entertains your followers (LOVE funny posts don’t you?). Social media is a powerful tool for content marketing that can drive traffic, leads, and sales.
  • Gain insights and feedback from your customers and the market. Social media can help businesses understand what your customers want, need, and think about your brand. Social media can also help businesses monitor your competitors and industry trends.
  • Advertise your products or services to a targeted audience. Social media platforms offer various advertising formats and options that can help you reach the right people at the right time with the right message. Social media advertising can also help you measure you return on investment (ROI).

Have I convinced you yet? If it still scares you, or you don’t know where to start, give me a call. I am NOT a marketing expert (I can refer you to a few though). I can however start you with baby steps to get used to and see the value of what it can do for your network and business.

Have a great week!

Michelle
